Nigar Jamal, Azerbaijani singer, was born on 7 September 1980 in Baku. In 1997, she entered Khazar University, majoring in economics and management, finishing 3 out of 4 years. Nigar Jamal served as a Baku 2015 Games Ambassador.
She is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 together with Eldar Gasimov (Ell&Nikki). Jamal’s singing genres include R&B, soul and pop music.
Nigar is a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety, and has lived in London since 2005.
She is married and a mother of two daughters.
