BAKU, 2 July 2019 – The United Nations Development Programme and the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan launched a National Information Portal on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) today recognising the crucial importance of strengthening the statistical capacity in the country.

We have launched a new website ‘United to Reform’ with comprehensive information on the three reform streams: Development, Management, Peace and Security. Visit the website and learn how these streams will transform the UN into a more effective, nimble, and fit for purpose Organization.

UN in Azerbaijan presents the January 2020 issue of the UN in Azerbaijan Highlights newsletter covering activities of all UN resident agencies in Azerbaijan. This publication gives you a chance to read about our latest events and activities, as well as official visits and campaigns organised in recent month.

We are pleased to share with you the Annual Progress Report of the United Nations-Azerbaijan Partnership Framework (2016-2020) covering the third year of implementation. The report highlights the results of our joint efforts with the Government and other national actors, including, civil society organizations, academia, and the private sector.

We are pleased to present you an electronic factsheet produced by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Azerbaijan. It includes information about the main activities of the UN Refugee Agency in Azerbaijan, as well as some statistics on refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons and stateless people.

The study, examining the difficulties and opportunities faced by women in the private sector, aims to carry out analyzes that will contribute to the efforts of government agencies, the private sector and civil society in promoting women’s empowerment in the economic field.
